Amazingly, Construction Begins

Some of the stakes and flags that held the seeds of the new house for over a year.

Looking east toward "Mount Home" where the ground is to be excavated today 11-9-12

Though I drove like a  maniac to get home in time to see the progress, this is what I could see in the car lights...

November 10, 2012, Duke looking south over the excavation.

Beautiful sky this morning, full of southern winds ahead of the big Northwester' coming in tomorrow.

"There's no place like home" ----- you might as well start saying it now, to get used to it. You will be able to pass those ruby slippers along to someone who needs them, and just settle in with Toto, er, Duke, the Tin Horseman, Ginger the Scarehorse, and The Cowardly JakeLion.

It is so great to be able to observe the proceedings, one step at a time, from over here in the Left Coast. Mount Home!

Those ruby slippers will soon be passed on to the next wanderer trying to find their way home, for sure.

Jake might actually be from the dark side, maybe one of those flying monkeys!
